The Vancouver Canucks’ Downward Spiral

The Canucks’ woes continue. Just a few short weeks ago the Vancouver Canucks were considered a strong playoff contender. Now they’ll be lucky to make the playoffs.
Riddled with injuries and having players take time off for personal issues, coupled with the continued lack lustre play of it’s once star captain, Markus Naslund, the Canucks seem to be on a free-fall similar to last season’s Edmonton Oilers.
In it’s latest road trip Vancouver has eeked out a measly two points of a possible six aginst Tampa, Florida and Dallas and find themselves in 10th place over-all in the Western Conference. If they are to have any hope of making it into the first round they’d better heal up quick and consider unloading the likes of the under-performing Matt Cooke plus some young prospects. Perhaps a Sundin, Forsberg, Naslund line would spark some forward momentum?
